Sueca Jogatina - A Brazilian Card Game
Sueca Jogatina is one of the most famous card games in Brazil and Portugal, where the suit doesn't matter. The trump is all yours, you just need to pick a card from your hand, and when you play it, you win the trick. You and your partner, using a standard 52-card deck, must play cards from your hands to the tableau, the pile of cards that you have been dealt. As you play, the tableau is extended to the new card you've played. The cards you can play in each trick are:
Face up cards: 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,J,Q,K
Aces:A,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10
Tiles: Q,K,J,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
Piles: A,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10
Trumps: K,J,Q,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
The dealer: You
The cards in the discard pile are replaced with new cards.
The game ends when the last card in the deck is played. The winner of the trick takes all the points and the current point value.
It is possible to play the game without partners. You are the dealer, and you have to take the first trick.
